Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at the Toms River Surgery Center in New Jersey. The RN will deliver comprehensive care to patients before and after anesthesia, ensure safety, and assist in procedure rooms as needed.

The role requires an accredited RN education, an active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and strong clinical judgment, with 2 years PACU/CC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and conscious sedation as needed.
• Provide total care for patients emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.
