Job summary

Incredible Health in Waco, TX is hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care for a variety of surgical patients.

The ideal candidate holds ADN or higher, an active RN license, and 1 year PACU/ICU experience. BLS/ACLS certs and EMR proficiency are required; strong communication and teamwork are essential. Shifts include day, night, and mid; roles may be FT, PT, or per diem.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active and unencumbered RN license required.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team player.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to diverse surgical patients; monitor vitals and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions from OR to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
