Job summary

Incredible Health in San Antonio, TX is hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care across a variety of surgical patients. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring smooth handoffs to discharge home.

Requirements include ADN or higher in nursing, active RN license, 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred, BLS and ACLS certifications, strong communication and teamwork, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or similar high-acuity setting preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
