Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in the Tucson, AZ area to provide post-operative care across a range of surgical patients. You will monitor vital signs and manage anesthesia-related symptoms in the PACU, with documentation and collaboration with surgical teams.

The role requires an ADN or higher nursing degree and an active RN license, with BLS and ACLS. Shifts vary (day, night, mid), and full-time, part-time, and per diem options are available with various benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate postoperative care and monitor vitals in PACU.
• Administer medications and implement treatment plans.

• Educate patients and families on post-op care and discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
