Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.

RN PACU Overnight Stay

San Antonio Med Center Surgery Center is hiring a RN PACU Overnight Stay. Position requires weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Welcome to San Antonio Med Center Surgery Center

We have 3 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management and Spine.

The Pacuro Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. The RN conducts continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, provides patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The RN may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. The RN will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
