Job summary

Incredible Health in Melbourne, FL is seeking a PACU RN to provide high-quality postoperative care for a range of surgical patients. The role offers day, night, and mid shifts across full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for cross-training.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, educating families on recovery, and maintaining meticulous charting in EMR

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree
• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate postoperative care, monitor vitals, and manage anesthesia-related symptoms
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for patient transitions to PACU and discharge
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing

• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $48,290 to $96,520 /year
