Job summary

Incredible Health in Grand Blanc, MI is hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care for a variety of surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless transfer from operating room to PACU and discharge home.

Applicants should have ADN or higher in nursing, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity settings. EMR proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to surgical patients and monitor vitals.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia team to ensure smooth transitions to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound management.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
