Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitor vital signs, manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for smooth patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, pain management, wound care, and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
