Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Rahway, NJ to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor vitals, and manage anesthesia-related symptoms as patients transition from the operating room to discharge. Requirements include ADN or higher, active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity settings; strong teamwork and EMR proficiency.

Shifts include day, night, and mid; positions full-time, part-time, and per diem.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree or equivalent.
• Active and unencumbered RN license in New Jersey.
• 1 year experience in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care, monitor vitals, and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans with medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for smooth patient transition to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, pain management, wound care, and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies.

Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the Rahway, NJ area for the following position: PACU RN. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $70,920 to $117,990 /year
