Job summary

University Hospitals’ Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, OH is seeking an experienced RN to provide safe, age-specific nursing care using the nursing process to help patients and families attain and sustain optimal health.

The role requires full-time scheduling with 0600-2030 shifts, on-call rotations, and collaboration with the care team to achieve excellent outcomes. An ADN is required; BSN preferred, Ohio RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing process and practice (required)
• Proficiency with clinical equipment (eg stethoscope, thermometer, sphygmomanometer, electronic monitors)
• Ohio RN license (Required Upon Hire) and BLS; ACLS/PALS per unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process by delivering relationship-based care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery for safe practice and positive outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and operations.
• Develops self and contributes to professional nursing practice.
• Displays leadership that influences clinical and operational outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Refer to department docs during orientation for specific duties.
• Maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) per UH policies; complete annual PHI training.
