Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Idaho is seeking a compassionate RN for the PACU/Pre-Op Unit. You will provide care in both pre-op and recovery, manage admissions and discharges, and coordinate medications and supplies to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

The role requires Idaho RN licensure; BSN is preferred. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS within six months are expected. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• PACU, critical care, or ER experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of employment.
• PALS certification within six months of employment.
• Demonstrated English communication for safe and effective patient care and documentation.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Awareness of professional nursing standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide professional nursing care in the PACU/Pre-Op Unit, covering pre-op and recovery.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate nursing assignments and prepare staff schedules.
• Oversee admissions and discharges and monitor patient status.
• Order and monitor medicines and supplies as needed.
