Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a staff nurse to provide direct postoperative care for patients of all ages. Emphasis on airway management, circulation, and collaboration with anesthesia during procedures.

Responsibilities include patient safety, accurate documentation, and assisting with case setup and room readiness. Requires 1 year CCU experience, a Louisiana RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and flexibility to float and rotate on-call.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of critical care experience.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana RN license; BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to float to Day Surgery and Surgery; ability to rotate on-call.
• Good verbal and written communication; comfort with computer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to post-anesthesia patients across ages.
• Assist anesthesia during induction and throughout procedures.
• Maintain airway management and circulation focus in PACU.
• Coordinate patient safety, privacy, and comfort per individual needs.
• Document accurately and participate in team-based care planning.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for upcoming cases.
• Engage in interdisciplinary education and policy adherence.
