Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation and documents vital signs and data in EMR.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision of RN.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Manages nutrition related tasks and maintains skin care; ensures supplies and equipment are available.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as directed by RN or unit policy.
• Maintains infection prevention practices and collaborates with departments to schedule tests/treatments.
• Coordinates test/treatment needs and supports effective communication within the care team.
