Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs on a 7a-7p shift at Advocate Christ Medical Center. This full-time role entails direct patient care, documentation, and coordination with the care team.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and ensure safety and comfort for patients while maintaining EMR records and following infection prevention protocols. Benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED/HS Diploma or higher required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of start date.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Record vitals, I&O, daily weights and other data.
• Document in EMR and assist with admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Ensure call lights are answered promptly and patient safety maintained.
• Coordinate tests and treatments with other departments as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and proper PPE use.
