Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking an Advanced Medical Support Assistant at the Lewiston Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Idaho. The role supports a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) or specialty care setting, coordinating with the patient care team to ensure efficient clinic operations and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the patient care team to review clinic utilization and support efficient clinic operations.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, interdisciplinary teams, VA centers, and external facilities.
• Participate in team huddles/meetings to plan patient care and set priorities.
• Manage pre-appointment requirements to ensure readiness for visits (e.g., X-ray, labs).
• Monitor electronic wait lists for accuracy and follow-ups for consults/tests.
• Assist with continuity of care and entering information into the electronic record.
