Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled PACS Analyst to support, maintain, and optimize imaging systems and related applications. The role blends clinical workflow understanding with IT expertise to ensure 24/7 operation and seamless data exchange between PACS, EMRs, and modalities.

You will work with radiologists and technologists, perform system maintenance, participate in testing and upgrades, and contribute to IT projects shaping imaging solutions across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a high-technology healthcare IT environment.
  • PACS experience: direct experience supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting PACS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for PACS and imaging systems, diagnosing and resolving issues for radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, monitor performance, storage, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with physicians and technologists to optimize workflow and configure imaging apps for efficiency.
  • Conduct testing of system upgrades, patches, and integrations (UAT/functional testing).
  • Assist with interface testing and troubleshooting between PACS, EMRs, modalities, using HL7, DICOM, XDS.
  • Maintain documentation and train end-users on PACS functionalities.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for critical issues.
