Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a highly motivated PACS Analyst to join our IT team. You will support, maintain, and optimize PACS and imaging applications, collaborating with radiologists, technologists, and clinicians to ensure seamless operation and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing system upgrades, interfacing with HL7/DICOM/XDS, training end users, and participating in after-hours on-call rotations to maintain 24/7 imaging services.

Qualifications

  • PACS experience in healthcare environment.
  • Direct experience supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting PACS.
  • Strong radiology/medical imaging workflow understanding.
  • Solid IT background with Windows, networking, and databases.
  • Experience interfacing with DICOM, HL7, and XDS.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level PACS support and troubleshooting for radiologists and clinicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance, monitor performance, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with physicians and technologists to optimize imaging workflows.
  • Test new systems, upgrades, patches, and integrations (UAT).
  • Assist in interfaces testing and data exchange between PACS, EMRs, and modalities.
  • Create documentation and train end-users on PACS functionalities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 operations.
  • Contribute to IT projects involving imaging system upgrades and migrations.
  • Liaise with vendors for support and enhancements.
