Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center, a leading health care provider in Palm Beach County, seeks a PACS Administrator to manage daily PACS/CPACS operations, image workflow, archiving, and vendor coordination. You will ensure DICOM data capture, RIS validation, and smooth network transmission within radiology and cardiology departments.

The role requires 2+ years in healthcare IS with strong communication skills and the ability to learn new imaging software, maintain system integrity, and train end users.

Qualifications

• Two years healthcare experience in an information services department with extensive knowledge of financial systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
• Proficiency with information systems and personal computers; familiarity with radiology/cardiology applications listed.
• Ability to learn new equipment, software updates, and train end users.
• Maintain integrity of PACS and CPACS systems for imaging and cardiology departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PACS/CPACS operations: image workflow, archiving, routing, prefetching, and related activities.
• Ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM image data; manage network transmission and RIS validation.
• Develop operating standards, policies, and procedures with imaging leadership and hospital leaders.
• Act as liaison between radiology, cardiology, and IS leadership for imaging initiatives.
• Coordinate vendor installation and training for new systems and upgrades.
• Prepare reports for imaging leadership on operations and performance.
• Attend departmental/hospital meetings and maintain HIPAA compliance.
