Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a PACS Administrator to manage and support the PACS environment and related post-processing tools. The role focuses on system operation, monitoring interfaces, and coordinating maintenance across IS and Radiology teams.

The position requires 4+ years of image archive/PACS experience, strong clinical workflow understanding, and coordination with vendors. Excellent organizational skills and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Technology recommended
• Minimum 4 years image archive and/or PACS experience
• Solid understanding of clinical workflow within one or more clinical service lines and how it relates to Medical Imaging and PACS
• Excellent attention to detail, project management skills, and applications training skills
• Experience with Hologic, Montage, TeraRecon, and Nuance PowerScribe360 preferred
• CIIP or PARCA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operation of PACS system and verifies scheduled operations, backups and archives.
• Monitors interfaces and coordinates changes to keep PACS and IS systems functioning.
• Monitors hardware, software and performance; addresses storage, performance, archiving and recovery.
• Performs problem isolation and escalation within Radiology and Information Systems.
• Provides maintenance, upgrades and testing coordination for PACS system updates.
• Administers system access, sign-ons and user permissions.
