Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida seeks a qualified PACS Administrator to manage day-to-day PACS/CPACS operations, image workflow, archiving, and data routing. The role requires experience in healthcare IS with radiology software and HL7 interfaces, plus the ability to train staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

The administrator will work closely with imaging and IS leadership to optimize imaging workflows, support vendors, and implement system upgrades within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required; 2 years college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years healthcare experience in an information services dept with knowledge of financial systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
• Proficiency with information systems and PCs; familiar with radiology/cardiology applications listed.

Responsibilities

• Operate PACS/CPACS equipment daily, manage image workflow, archiving, routing and prefetching.
• Collaborate with imaging leadership to ensure timely capture of DICOM data and network transmission.
• Develop operating standards, policies and procedures with imaging/cardiology leadership.
• Train end users and maintain training workflow documents for clinicians and staff.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to JCAHO/ACR/state guidelines for imaging systems.
