Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a production operator to join our team. Under supervision, you will operate packer machines, weigh bags, set up equipment, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will complete production paperwork, monitor quality, assist others, and operate forklift as needed. A high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds are required; training provided. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must lift and carry concrete bags up to 80 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operates a packer machine to bag and prepare product
• Weighs bag to assure proper weight
• Prepares palletizer or packer machine for start up
• Completes specified paperwork to generate production reports
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance, assuring product meets quality requirements
• Performs routine machine maintenance
• Use shovel and broom to clean up material spills
• Assists other Operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
• Ensures all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
• Operates Forklift or other mobile equipment as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
