Job summary

Amcor Alsip, IL is seeking a full-time manufacturing associate to remove finished product, inspect quality, and ensure packaging meets the production work orders.

You will read work orders, operate packaging equipment, perform quality checks, use a tape measure and scale, and lift up to 30 pounds in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to GMP and safety standards at all times. Experience with JDE is a plus; training is provided.

  • Must know how to read and use a tape measure.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Must have manual dexterity.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Perform quality checks on all orders regularly.
  • Adhere to packaging requirements per Production Work Order.
  • Enter production in JDE and print necessary paperwork.
  • Place customer labels on cartons or gaylords neatly as required.
  • Follow GMPs and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Maintain paperwork in order and separate from completed orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Summary

To remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.

Responsibilities
  • Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples

  • Inspects products for customer requirements and any defects

  • Assists in start-up and change over of machinery or orders

  • Performs all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis

  • Adheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order

  • Capable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.

  • Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.

  • Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner. Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer

  • Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) per written procedures and practices

  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area

  • Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.

  • Other duties as assigned.
