Job summary

Amcor Alsip plant is seeking a Full-time production associate to remove finished products from machines, inspect quality, and ensure packaging meets work orders.

You will read work orders, inspect for defects, assist in start-up and changeovers, and perform routine quality checks while maintaining GMP-compliant, clean, safe work area and proper paperwork.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders for product specifications and packaging instructions.
• Inspects products for defects and customer requirements.
• Assists in start-up and change over of machinery or orders.
• Performs quality checks on all orders regularly.

Responsibilities

• Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples
• Inspects products for customer requirements and any defects
• Assists in start-up and change over of machinery or orders
• Performs all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis
• Adheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order
• Capable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.
• Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.
• Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner. Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer
• Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) per written procedures and practices
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area
• Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.
• Other duties as assigned.
