Job summary

Amcor is seeking a production associate to support pigment production and material handling in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with extrusion, resin blending, and ensuring consistent material supply for large orders.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in dusty conditions, climbing ladders, and operating in heat or cold. Independence and good radio communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at least 15 times per 8-hour day.
  • Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area.
  • Color vision within normal limits (Ishihara).
  • Ability to work in dusty environments.
  • Ability to work at heights and climb ladders safely.
  • Verbal communication adequate to use radios/pagers.
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Able to use both hands for manipulation of tools/parts.

Responsibilities

  • Make pigment for daily use and large orders; ensure extrusion runs smoothly.
  • Bring resin or concentrate needed for blending.
  • Blow resin to prevent machine downtime due to material shortages.
  • Keep materials off the ground and away from drains.
  • Keep all lines outside the fence capped and locked when not in use.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by group leader.

Responsibilities

  • Make pigment used each day Make pigment need for large orders Extrusion.

  • Bring Gaylord’s of resin or concentrate needed in blending.

  • Blow resin to insure no Machines set down for lack of Material

  • Make sure material is kept off the ground and clear from drains

  • All lines outside the fence capped and locked when not in use

  • Any additional tasks assigned by group leader

Qualifications
  1. High school diploma / GED equivalent.

  2. Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of approximately 15 times per 8-hour day.

  3. Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.

  4. Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara Screen)

  5. Ability to work in a dusty environment.

  6. Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection). Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.

  7. Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 5 times per day

  8. Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to connect other co-workers in other areas of the complex.

  9. Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.

  10. Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.

  11. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point font at a

distance 12-18 inches

  1. Ability to stand /walk 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
