Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking a production packaging associate to operate packaging lines, select correct box sizes, apply labels, and ensure products are boxed and stacked correctly. You will follow safety procedures, monitor quality, and cooperate with team members on the shift schedule.

The role requires standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift boxes up to 45 lbs. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand on production floor for long hours and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in packaging and labeling.
• Physical ability to lift and move boxes within specified weights.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery and ensure proper PPE usage at all times.
• Select appropriate box sizes and assemble boxes with tape.
• Perform random quality inspections and report defects to supervisor.
• Label completed boxes and place on cooling/finish skids with proper stacking.
• Follow conveyor workflow to optimize packaging flow and avoid hazards.
• Adhere to job-specific safety procedures and work overtime if required.
