Job summary

ALPLA, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, seeks a Packaging Operator to join our Bethlehem, PA facility. You will coordinate packaging needs with the shift supervisor, ensure material supply, and assist operators to maintain a smooth workflow on multiple packaging lines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 6 months of packaging experience, and good mechanical skills. This role requires lifting up to 55 pounds and standing for long shifts, with opportunities for

• Min. 6 months of Packaging Operator experience preferred.
• Some lead experience preferred.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Capable of lifting 55 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours.
• Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging needs with Shift Supervisor on production equipment.
• Ensure all lines are adequately supplied with materials (foil, cartons, trays).
• Assist Packaging Operators as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Setup and operate multiple types of packaging equipment (carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, top closers, palletization).
• Ensure labels correctly match the product where manual labeling is required.
• Manage and assign break schedules for packers.
• Support troubleshooting and training initiatives for Packers.
• Audit packer standard work and quality checks.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Coordinates with Shift Supervisor the packaging needs on production equipment
