ALPLA Group is seeking a Manufacturing Packaging Operator for night shifts in Salt Lake City, UT. The role focuses on operating and maintaining multiple packaging machines, performing material handling, and ensuring product quality.

The position requires manual boxing, labeling, changeovers, and strict safety and cleanliness standards. Candidates should have some manufacturing experience and be able to lift up to 55 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various packaging equipment.
• Load, build, and pack containers and boxes; perform hand packaging of bottles and labeling.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle materials, loading/unloading packaging supplies and raw materials.
• Document records, perform changeovers, apply labels, and conduct quality checks.

What Will You Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include (not limited to):
  • Carton erectors
  • Partition inserters
  • Product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU)
  • Foil dispensers
  • Top closers
  • Palletization equipment
• Manual responsibilities:
  • Loading, building, and making boxes
  • Hand packaging of bottles
  • Loading labels
• Maintenance:
  • Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Material handling:
  • Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials
• Documentation:
  • Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks
  • Perform changeovers of diverse packaging equipment (e.g., case erector, partition inserter, top sealer)
  • Apply correct labels
  • Perform quality checks consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels, and packaging integrity for defects
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform autonomous maintenance

Performance Metrics

• Labeling Accuracy: maintain a labeling accuracy rate of 100% by consistently following all labeling procedures without deviation.
• Quality Control Compliance: perform all required quality checks with 100% completion and accuracy, identifying and reporting any defects per standard operating procedures.
• Line clearance accuracy
• Autonomous maintenance completion
