Job summary

ALPLA Florence Plant in Florence, KY is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing area, ensure products are produced to specification, and maintain quality and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on oversight.

You will mentor staff, coordinate training, manage attendance, and perform performance evaluations. The position involves 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation with initial day-shift training, and opportunities for career growth in a global

Qualifications

• Min High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical engineering background.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably plastics.
• Good process knowledge.
• Ability to train personnel.

Responsibilities

• Record production and shift data accurately and manage changeovers.
• Lead the team and manage staffing, training, and evaluations.

Schedule: 12‑hour shifts from 6 pm to 6:30 am on a 2‑2‑3 rotation, working every other weekend. Candidate must be open to start initial training on 8‑hour day shifts, Monday through Friday.

What Will You Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

• Running Production area:
  • Ensures goods are produced and packaged in correct quantities in accordance with agreed specifications
  • Accurately records goods produced and problems encountered during the shift to ensure the smooth changeover of shifts
  • Performs mold changes with the Machine Operator
  • Ensures the good quality of the product
• Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures
• Ensures all employees work in a safe manner by following company regulations
• Leading the Team:
  • Assesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training
  • Ensures adequate staffing to cover absenteeism and holidays, as well as normal operations
  • Correctly records time and attendance of team
  • Performs performance evaluations on a regular basis
• Other:
  • Attends meetings with Production Manager
  • Reviews employee concerns and issues with the Production Manager
  • Maintains good housekeeping within department
