Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Packaging Specialist in Round Lake, IL to maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will perform hands-on maintenance of conveyors, sensors, printers, pumps and motors, while adhering to SOPs and cGMP standards.

You will inspect, repair, and set up packaging lines, execute changeovers, complete documentation in electronic systems, and participate in rigorous quality and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Trade certificate a plus; strong mechanical/electrical background preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints; troubleshoot packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain packaging equipment and related facility systems.
• Set up for batches and support manufacturing on the floor.
• Perform changeovers and document work in electronic systems per GDP/GMP.
• Adhere to cGMPs, SOPs and job plans; ensure accurate logs and documentation.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and guide others through troubleshooting.
• Work safely in controlled environments with appropriate PPE and gowning as required.
