Job summary

Joyson Safety Systems is seeking a packaging and supply chain specialist in Apodaca, NL, MX. You will design, implement and optimize packaging solutions for new projects, balancing safety and quality with cost control and inventory reduction.

You will lead inbound/outbound logistics concepts, budget planning, and collaboration with manufacturing teams, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth, compliant operations and lean improvements across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Design and define the optimal supply chain and packaging strategy for new projects, ensuring safety, quality and customer service while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
• Develop supply chain concepts covering inbound, outbound, internal logistics, material flows and information flows in close collaboration with manufacturing teams.
• Calculate and manage project-related supply chain and packaging budgets, including cost-per-part analyses and packaging expenditures.
• Ensure quotations and project assumptions are based on standardized equipment, processes and best practices.
• Identify, assess and elevate potential industrial, logistics or packaging-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan inventory and stock levels across the supply chain with a focus on lead-time reduction and service performance.
• Develop packaging specifications for semi-finished and finished products, translating customer requirements into packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with assembly engineers, manufacturing project managers, suppliers and plant teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Coordinate the development, testing, validation and implementation of packaging equipment and materials for production trials and approvals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles and supply chain optimization to enhance logistics performance.
