Job summary

XNRGY Climate Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced packaging engineer to own supplier packaging standards and lean material flow across large components, racks, and finished goods in Mesa, Arizona.

You will lead testing and validation, collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, and drive cost reduction and space optimization through standardized packaging. This role offers a dynamic, growth-focused environment in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical field related to packaging engineering or manufacturing.
• 8+ years in packaging engineering, material flow, manufacturing, or logistics in heavy industries.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing supplier packaging standards for large/complex components.
• Experience with transportation testing standards (ISTA/ASTM/ISO) and packaging validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and govern supplier packaging standards for large fabricated components and finished products.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to design lean, cost-efficient packaging solutions.
• Standardize packaging requirements for racks, pallets, and labeling across supplier network.
• Lead design, testing, and validation of packaging through simulations and physical tests.
• Drive packaging optimization to maximize space and reduce logistics costs.
• Lead supplier packaging reviews, audits, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Develop returnable packaging and rack strategies to improve material flow and sustainability.
• Enhance safety and ergonomics by proper lifting and handling methods across operations.
