Job summary

Relyans Max is a leading automotive fastener supplier seeking a Packaging Engineer to develop and maintain packaging systems that protect, optimize, and cost-effectively move products through manufacturing and to customers.

You will manage customer packaging assets, set specifications, and oversee internal production bins while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, and customers to meet requirements and reduce packaging costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of packaging engineering or packaging management experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with returnable packaging systems and Tier 1 automotive customer packaging specs.
• CAD experience and familiarity with ERP/inventory systems are beneficial.
• Knowledge of AIAG packaging guidelines and customer-specific packaging manuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain customer-specific packaging specifications and standards.
• Manage customer-supplied returnable packaging assets and related lifecycle.
• Coordinate procurement, tracking, repair, and replacement of packaging.
• Monitor packaging KPIs and drive cost reduction through standardization.
• Lead packaging improvement projects using Lean principles.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, and customers.
