Job summary

Amrize North America is seeking a Packaging Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing of packaging materials across our manufacturing network. You will develop category strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost savings while ensuring supply continuity and compliance with safety policies.

You’ll collaborate with operations, HR, IT, and marketing to capture needs, manage supplier performance, and report on savings and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years procurement experience; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for the packaging category.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with suppliers.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage the lifecycle of contracts.
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis.
• Optimize costs through competitive pricing and supplier terms.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, HR, IT, marketing) to understand needs.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance; provide regular reporting on savings and risks.
• Drive process optimization to reduce procurement cycle times and improve efficiency.
