Job summary

Amcor in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to manage complex capital projects related to PET preforms and rigid containers. You will review new products from a manufacturing perspective and oversee multiple projects across sites from conception to qualification.

Responsibilities include creating bills of materials, ensuring safety and environmental requirements, refining feasibility studies into actionable plans, and managing upgrades. Travel ~60% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Seven+ years in plastics packaging engineering with project management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence multiple resources.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into the project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into actionable implementation plans that meet cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure, layout and equipment against project requirements; develop upgrade plans.
• Publish weekly project status reports outlining progress and issues; manage cross-site communications.
