Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Manager for Deer Park, NY. You will lead daily plant operations, safety, and personnel in the corrugator department, while driving efficiency and meeting customer requirements.

You will coach staff, oversee maintenance, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, including lean practices, to improve profitability and quality across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years in a related leadership role.
• Experience leading a packaging/manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated mechanical and process management expertise.
• Proven ability to use scheduling software and manage lean projects.
• Strong communication and change leadership skills.
• Experience with P&L and capital budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of facility, safety, personnel, and maintenance.
• Direct production activities in the corrugator department to meet goals.
