Job summary

FMC Corporation, headquartered in Philadelphia, seeks an NA Packaging Improvement Engineer to develop packaging line layouts and optimize equipment design. You will lead packaging initiatives with cross-functional teams across facility-based and corporate units to deliver safe, sustainable packaging solutions.

The role involves regulatory compliance, testing, and innovations to reduce waste while supporting product launches and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of packaging materials and systems and hazardous materials regulations.
• Ability to facilitate projects virtually and negotiate with internal/external teams.
• Maintain 49 CFR, IMDG and IATA certifications within 90 days.
• Capable of data-based decision making with a results-oriented leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Review equipment changes to assess packaging equipment and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and FMC safety standards.
• Lead packaging improvements and trials of new packages/equipment.
• Document technologies, capacities and layouts for packaging lines.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing and suppliers on packaging projects.
