Job summary

FMC Corporation is seeking an NA Packaging Improvement Engineer to lead packaging line layout development, equipment optimization, and new packaging initiatives at the Philadelphia Headquarters. Qualifications

• BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
• 2–5 years of packaging experience in chemical-related operations preferred (5–7 years in chemical ops).
• Knowledge of packaging materials, packaging systems, and hazardous materials regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review equipment changes for packaging equipment and revisions.
• Ensure packaging complies with regulatory and FMC safety standards.
• Support safety, sustainability, and environmental goals in packaging.
• Coordinate lab testing of packages and materials for compatibility.
• Develop test methods, data analysis, and technical reports for packaging components.
• Drive packaging improvements, equipment tech, design and capacities.
• Adapt lines for new packaging configurations (bottles, cartons, pallets).
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering on packaging projects.
