Job Title: Chemical Packaging Operator
Location: Urbana, IL
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Interviews: Held onsite
About the Role:
We’re looking for a safety-minded, detail-oriented Chemical Packaging Operator to join our team for a 12-month contract (with potential to go permanent). You’ll be responsible for accurately packaging chemical products, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and preparing them for shipment.

What You’ll Do:
Receive materials approved for packaging
Prepare and fill containers according to specifications
Accurately label packaged products and hand off to the shipping team
Enter data and complete paperwork to support packaging and ERP systems
Keep your work area clean, organized, and well-stocked
Help maintain packaging Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Support the shipping department with tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field
OR
Some college-level science courses plus 2+ years of chemical handling experience (packaging, manufacturing, etc.)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to follow written instructions and complete paperwork accurately
Physically able to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
Preferred:
Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
Experience using SAPNext or other ERP systems
