Packaging Operator - Starting pay $17.50/hr. (Night shift) ($1000 sign-on bonus)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Packaging Operator I to be based out of Springfield, Missouri. Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Lead, this person will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the extruded (HDPE pipe) product throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.

Schedule: 7:45pm to 8:00am, Rotation Schedule

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you'll do:

• Monitor and check product during manufacturing to meet order requirements.
• Check print and footage markings; make corrections as needed.
• Monitor for continuous stripe (if required).
• Understand quality requirements for all products being produced.
• Make corrections to meet order specifications and inform the supervisor before adjustments.
• Use reel components to build reels to size specifications.
• Place the correct reel onto the coiler and prepare for startup; reel must be in good physical condition.
• Ensure wraps on reels are correct and neat.
• Cut conduit, tie-off, and cap conduit when each reel is complete.
• Remove reel from coiler using a forklift and transport finished product into inventory.
• Grind material scrap as produced and stack scrap.
• Assist extrusion tech in line start-ups.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Assist other packaging specialists in cutting conduit, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Follow all safety requirements and guidelines.
• Complete line operations paperwork for accurate inventory transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
