Role Overview:

The Packaging Operator ensures dried product quality, manages up to 2 packaging machines, and follows safety, quality, and food safety procedures. Reports to the Supervisor and may receive guidance from management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety, GMP, and food safety policies
  • Perform sanitation of equipment and facilities
  • Monitor quality assurance controls and record data
  • Operate packaging lines safely and efficiently
  • Inspect and maintain dryer infrastructure and equipment
  • Assist troubleshooting and notify management of issues
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Train in all equipment in drying operations
  • Support other departments as needed, including cleaning and coverage
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or minimum 3 years of similar experience
  • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Basic math and reading comprehension
  • Forklift certification required
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 60 pounds, and perform visual tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging processes
