Job description

Position Summary

The Walmart Dairy Plant in Fort Wayne, IN, is one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in the United States. We provide our customers with the freshest, high-quality milk at everyday low prices for families. We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to assist in the blow mold and filler areas.

What you'll do

Monitor dairy plant production, including resin receiving, bottle making, filling, and casing, by following Standard Operating Procedures and GMPs, ensuring accurate documentation and recording of production and quality information. Operate and troubleshoot automated and manual processing systems, monitor filling and packaging equipment, control weights, and communicate issues to management.

Manage inventory by monitoring packaging materials, entering data into inventory systems, staging supplies to meet daily schedules, and maintaining accurate records.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by setting up filling equipment for efficiency, performing food safety and quality protocols, conducting preventative maintenance, and collaborating across departments to enhance machine efficiency and reduce waste.

Complete work assignments by following policies, collaborating with team members, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability, and supporting Walmart's sustainability goals.
