Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Business Team Leader Packaging 3rd Evergreen to manage day-to-day distribution operations in Huntington, IN. The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost control, and timely deliveries, with 80% time spent on the production floor.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive Lean initiatives, and mentor a shift-based team to meet production goals and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field preferred.
• Two years supervising a team of 20+ in manufacturing with lean.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead people in a positive environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with statistical evaluation software a plus.
• Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced plant setting.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge: Standardized Work, 5S, JIT.
• Greenbelt certification preferred.
• Overtime flexibility daily and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shipping and receiving activities with the team.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and budget goals.
• Build strong working relationships across shifts and departments.
• Ensure staff training and provide performance feedback.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings and address disciplinary issues when needed.
• Analyze data to resolve personnel problems and implement solutions.
