Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking a Packaging Operator to keep packaging lines running efficiently and coordinate material movement with warehousing. You will release work orders, assign labor, and serve as a trainer during transitions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to operate packaging equipment. Weekend and extra hours may be needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food/beverage industry experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows Office Suite, Illustrator, TOPS, JD Edwards, and Spec Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Packaging Operators and lines operate efficiently.
• Coordinate product movement with Expediters and warehouse staff.
• Release work orders to packing lines based on schedule.
• Assign labor based on schedule and capabilities.
• Serve as a Qualified Trainer as needed.
• Support shift transitions for smooth personnel changes.
• Field operator questions and involve supervisor for complex issues.
• Perform administrative shift/production tasks as assigned.
• Triage maintenance calls from packaging lines.
• Fill in as Supervisor during vacations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
