Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment safely and efficiently to hit production/waste goals.
• Completes documents and checklists related to equipment operation; reports malfunctions.
• Interprets work orders to ensure proper materials and specs are followed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic-to-moderate operation issues.
• Ensures coffee has adequate time to gas-off.
• Completes change-over sheets and coordinates supplies for line changes.
• Uses computer to open coffee bin and enter item information for labels.
• Programs packaging machine based on manufacturing specs.
• Adjusts equipment for appropriate case size and packaging weight.
• Manages packaging process by closing boxes, labeling, and conveying to tape machine.
• Performs visual, weight, and seal inspections; segregates nonconforming goods.
• Moves boxes from conveyor to pallets and records pallet details.
• Records downtime with explanations and flags maintenance requests.
• Cleans machines and work area to prevent dust and contamination.
• Checks packaging machines and completes changeover sheets to ensure bag integrity.
• Collects samples for quality assurance.
