Location: Beloit, Wisconsin

Base Rate: $22.50 per hour

Shift: 3rd (generally 10:45 PM - 7:00 AM, with overtime as needed; hours may vary during holidays)

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain shift documentation (e.g., Metal Detector and Batch Order Verifications)
2. Read production schedules and plan accordingly
3. Interpret schedules in MicroStrategy
4. Print labels on different printers, select correct programs, and perform printer maintenance
5. Perform nitrogen testing
6. Monitor and maintain packaging machinery, ensuring proper codes, dates, and prices
7. Ensure availability of packaging materials and supplies
8. Set up and write programs for bag makers; edit machine logic to optimize operations
9. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
10. Operate packaging equipment, including changeovers, troubleshooting, and sanitation
11. Plan and execute machine changeovers efficiently
12. Monitor product appearance, weight, and quality, resolving issues as needed
13. Manage product runoff and rework acceptable products
14. Maintain cleanliness and safety in work area
15. Report maintenance issues promptly
16. Follow safety and hygiene guidelines
17. Store supplies properly and keep work areas clear
18. Assist and provide leadership to team members, potentially acting as Backup Packaging Coordinator
19. Monitor seasoning application if applicable
20. Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly, work standing and in various physical positions, and operate manual and mechanical equipment.

Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, hot/wet/humid conditions, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise. Use of hearing protection required in plant areas.
