GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE JOB

This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude and desire to continuously improve. The role involves setting up and operating sorting equipment to identify and remove defective parts from good products. Additionally, the operator will move packaged goods to the shipping department. THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT POSITION.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up Sorting Machines by entering specific inspection information from product prints into the machine.
• Operate, perform complex setups, and troubleshoot Sorting Machines with minimal supervision.
• Handle and load parts into the machine.
• Maintain optimal machine performance by making adjustments and improvements as needed.
• Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets.
• Label boxes according to shipping instructions.
• Maintain records, documents, and files for tracking purposes.
• Move parts using hand trucks or forklifts as necessary.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• HSD/GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; previous machine operation experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer skills for data entry.
