Training leads to increased pay and expanded responsibilities within a food processing facility. The role requires the ability to perform routine maintenance, operate ERP systems, and collaborate with Sanitation and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in packaging operations or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor adjustments on machinery.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and compose instructions in English or Spanish.
• Able to use Microsoft applications and Redzone (Apple) software.
• Demonstrates problem solving and technical skills with minimal direction.
• Clearly communicate with coworkers and leadership in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery across up to two processes (e.g., horizontal pouch vs. vertical pouch).
• Set up, adjust, monitor, and troubleshoot to minimize downtime and perform minor repairs.
• Collaborate with Operator Helpers to maintain line efficiency and cleanliness.
• Operate forklift as needed to support packaging operations.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and document equipment checks for safety and compliance.
• Coordinate line changeovers with Sanitation and Quality teams and ensure correct materials.
• Adhere to Safety & Food Safety policies and participate in RCAs when required.
• Maintain ERP inventory accuracy and report discrepancies for corrections.
• Use ERP, Windows and iPad for reporting, documentation, and communications.
• Train new employees and assist in developing Operators to become operators.
