Job summary

Idahoan Foods, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator Helper to assist with packaging operations in a food processing facility. You will support the Packaging Machine Operator, ensure safe and efficient machine setup, and help maintain product quality and cleanliness on the line.

Responsibilities include feeding materials, monitoring equipment, performing basic repairs, and helping with line changeovers while adhering to safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with repetitive, physically demanding work.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification, SQF training, and LOTO training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Packaging Machine Operator in setting up and adjusting packaging machines; load WIP materials and packaging materials.
• Monitor machine operation to detect jams or malfunctions and support minor repairs or adjustments.
• Package products into cases and stack onto pallets; provide backup to Machine Operator during breaks.
• Replenish packaging materials and use the inventory system to maintain accuracy and safe consumption.
• Inspect packaged products to ensure quality; open/rework as needed.
• Assist with line changeovers and follow sanitation and safety protocols; report safety/quality incidents.
