Job summary

Idahoan Foods, LLC is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator I to ensure safe, efficient operation of packaging lines. You will perform setup, monitoring, and minor repairs while maintaining quality and food safety standards.

The role involves coordinating with the team, conducting line changeovers, and using ERP/IT tools for inventory and reporting. Training is provided, with wage increases after successful validation.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging operations or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor adjustments on machinery.
• Forklift certification, SQF training, and LOTO training preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and compose instructions in English or Spanish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Redzone software.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery including up to two processes: horizontal pouch, horizontal carton, vertical pouch, or robot process.
• Set up and adjust packaging machines; monitor and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
• Coordinate with Operator Helpers to ensure efficient line operation and clean, safe work areas.
• Inspect products for quality and document equipment checks to ensure food safety.
• Carry out line changeovers with sanitation and reset as needed; ensure materials meet specs.
• Adhere to Safety & Food Safety/Quality policies and report incidents to Supervisors.
