Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join our team in Maine. The PMO will run, change over, and maintain 3–5 packaging machines, monitor quality, and communicate changes to the line.

You will follow precise recipes, perform data collection, and be ready for the training period with weekend/overtime availability. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered and safety is a priority in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership – set the example and follow policies and procedures.
• Troubleshooting – diagnose problems and address issues on mechanical/automation equipment.
• Computer skills – basic computer use for production tasks.
• Time management – manage own time for changeovers and verifications.
• Flexibility – available for training and pre-shift meetings; weekend/overtime when needed.
• Physical demands – ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Run, change over, and operate 3-5 packaging machines.
• Communicate changes and plans to teammates and supervision.
• Perform set-up, run recipes, monitor variables, and conduct quality tests.
• Conduct data collection and report results.
• Respond to QA and management directions regarding production.
